NUAIR and NYNJ Port Authority Successfully Deliver Cargo via Drone from New Jersey to New York City

NUAIR and The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey (PANYNJ) have successfully demonstrated the safe cargo transport of goods via drone from New Jersey to New City and back. This historic cross-state flight over the Hudson River proved that drone deliveries can be both safe and efficient while sharing the airspace with manned aircraft and boat traffic.

The Port Authority already uses drones for maintenance and public safety campaigns, but cargo delivery is a new frontier. The agency is interested in finding more environmentally friendly solutions to middle-mile cargo delivery.
